The Ypsilon bridge in Drammen, which opened in 2008, has received media attention and multiple awards. Due to rebar coating, the bridge was in danger of corroding. To solve the challenge, Elmico products were used.

The concrete surface was primed with Micopox P and boardcast with sand. Then it was covered with Micorea S3, a impervious and flexible membrane. Finally a layer of Micopox PF was applied and broadcast with calcified flint. This is a thixotropic epoxy, well-suited for sloped surfaces where running is a possibility.
